Spring is here and I thought I’d give an update on what I’ve been up to.
My niece turned 2 and so I made her art. I have a promise to my nieces a new piece of art each year (though it may not necessarily make it in time for their bday..). Jojo and this gorilla had a moment at the zoo so it was easy to pick what to do for this year’s piece. I did a funky watercolor gorilla full of shimmer and framed it in a mint colored frame to pop against her purple walls. (See the fox with flowers was her year 1)
I had bought some wood boxes and wood jewelry boxes from the wood craft section at Hobby Lobby a while back. I have really wanted to finish a lot of these random projects and so decided to get this one done. It’s another attempt based off of Hungarian folk art. I really love the style so it was fun to play around with.
I tried disc golf for the first time. My husband claims I wasn’t terrible and improved.. I’m not sure but I had fun!
We got a membership to the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens so we have been a few times lately. I love seeing the blooms start to open. Can’t wait to see them in full color again!
We went to Cory’s favorite falls this weekend and the seasonal falls were so full! Hike #26 of the year with our yearly goal of 100.
Annnnddddd I got my belated birthday trip to the coast. I love time at the beach and this time was great as always.
