December 2018 my husband and I decided on a goal for 2019, a goal of one hundred fifty hikes to be completed that year. There weren’t many rules to this goal, just to be a hike it had to be on a trail in a natural area.

I love hiking in all seasons, but fall in the PNW where I live means hiking in rain and it has become something I look forward to while most people stay indoors.

My husband Cory has a background in construction engineering, working in software dealing with it for a living. I went to art school and am happy to be home painting each day. Our jobs really never overlapped until now.
