Yesterday was perfect weather to be biking so we loaded up our bikes and headed to the Gorge. We parked at Starvation Creek and biked west past Wyeth campground, turned back the way we came, biked to Viento Campground and back to Starvation Creek. It was really clear out and in the mid 60’s, so there were great views of the Columbia River and the mountainous cliffs that surround it. This trail follows the original highway that was partially destroyed in the 50s when I-84 was built. They are nearly done with restoring the scenic highway so you can take in the views like they did in the 1920’s!
At Wyeth they have a neat bike repair station Cory had to check out. They had restrooms and water, too. So handy!
