Hello! Hope you are staying warm out there, and incase you aren’t- I have a craft that may help. Our house we rent is rather drafty, and we can feel cold air coming in from under the doors. A while back I made door snakes to block the drafts and they’ve been doing a great job!
To make these door snakes I took old jeans and cut them just below the pocket, making a long denim tube. As they were going to be much thicker than I would like, I cut out a strip the whole length down and turned it inside out and sewed it and sewed closed the unfinished end. Flipping it back right side out the hem of the pants makes a nice finished end to tie off when done. I filled the tube with buckwheat hulls using a funnel and when it was full I used a rubber band to close it up tightly. To make it prettier I wrapped jute rope around that and knotted it. That’s all there is to it, they took just a few minutes and have really helped keep the house warm. When we aren’t using them I keep them in an IKEA zipped bag to keep them from getting funky. Cheap, simple & effective!
