In Portland the end of the rainy season is marked by the Tulip Fest at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm (or so it seems to me). It is often still rainy and muddy but the color there shows spring has arrived. During the tulip fest (mid March-1st of May, definitely check before going!) there are crafts vendors, food carts, a gift shop full of flowery things, fresh cut flowers, potted tulips, and wooden shoes for sale. It’s a lot of fun looking at all the goodies and wandering through the flowers on the several acres of the farm. Wear rain boots as it will likely be muddy! They are located at 33814 S Meridian Rd, Woodburn, OR 97071.
So lucky to have a hubby that humors me and gets his picture taken with the flowers.
Yes, Cory bought a pair. He uses them in the garden and has now had them a few years. He leaves them on the back porch step and they have held up well. He swears by them!
I think each time I have gone to the Tulip fest I have bought glass jewelry from Lawrence Eichman. He makes really fun, whimsical things and you should look for him if you go! Plus he has his shop set up and works while he is there so it’s really fun to watch!
