My husband loves lavender. The scent is one of his favorites and so going to lavender farms doesn’t take much convincing. There are many within about an hour or so of us so we have gone to a few. They all have lavender for sale and offer different lavender scented or lavender flavored things. It’s always a nice outing with happy bees buzzing around and the flowers smell really nice. I keep a vase of dried lavender in our living room. I buy fresh each year and replace it the next. When it’s dry I sometimes fill sachets with the buds and put the lavender sachets in our dressers and closet to keep our clothes fresh.
One lavender farm we went to was the Columbia View Lavender Farm. They had U-pick lavender and a few lavender items for sale. They have baskets, twine and scissors ready for you to pick. The area is awesome because it’s right off the Historic Columbia River HWY so you are just down the road from some amazing waterfalls. My husband and I are also fans of the BBQ at the Corbett Country Market. It’s a fairly quick stop and a nice addition to your day if you are in the area. The farm is located at 38401 E Historic Columbia River Hwy Corbett, OR 97019.
Scented Acres is a small farm in Brush Prairie, WA and is probably our favorite. They have a small but awesome shop (I buy lavender sugar for my tea) and have various plants for sale. Part of the charm is seeing the chickens and various plants all growing. We have gone here a couple of times and will be back. Their address is 13804 NE 117th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98662.
Wayward Winds is the 1st lavender farm we went to. It is a pretty good sized place and has an outdoor shop for all your lavender wants. They do U-pick lavender and have baskets and scissors to help. It is a really lovely place and I hope to go back. They are located at 17005 NE Courtney Rd, Newberg, OR 97132.
