Point No Point
This was our first walk on the beach while visiting my cousins and it was wild how different it was than walking the beach in Oregon. There were so many more in-tact seashells and lots of colorful rocks. The lighthouse was neat and there were a lot of people enjoying the beach.
Downtown Poulsbo is a small town full of Viking flair. We really liked this mural and walking along the water. Their Saturday Art walk was a lot of fun and I’d recommend it if you are in the area! Our favorite was the Verksted Gallery. They had a lot of awesome local handmade things!
Fish Park
Fish Park is a park with walking trails in Poulsbo. It had some nice elevated paths to walk through wetlands and was a pretty area. There were a number of people with happy dogs walking through, but it wasn’t crowded.
After picking up salads and coffees at a coffee hut Cory found a place to park the car where we had a view while we ate.
Guillemot Cove Nature Preserve on the Hood Canal was beautiful. We hiked through forest down the Sawmill Trail to the canal and had a great view of the Olympic Mountains beyond. We saw deer, snakes, oysters, tiny crabs and a few different birds.
Pretty sunset on our way home.
The Kitsap Peninsula is such a beautiful area of Washington and I look forward to our next time there and to getting to explore more.
